Residencies
Time set aside for deep, uninterrupted work.
Residencies at Zoute River Garden Farm offer a quiet, independent space for creatives who need focus, stillness, and time. They are short, self‑directed periods of work within a private homestead shaped by the landscape, seasons, and dedicated studio practice.
Residencies are not retreats, workshops, or group programmes. They are simply time and space — a private room of one’s own, access to the grounds, and the option of studio use — for writers, artists, designers, academics, researchers, and others working on meaningful projects.
Residents stay in one of our self‑contained units and work independently. Days are shaped by the quiet and steady rhythm of the property: the garden, the trees, the studio, and the surrounding landscape. There are no schedules, no hosted activities, and no communal requirements.
Residencies are offered throughout the year, with stays ranging from three nights to two weeks. Each residency is arranged by enquiry and shaped around the needs of the individual’s work.
